How to prevent suicide risk at work
Suicide prevention doesn’t start in crisis. It starts in culture.
According to a recent campaign, up to 650 suicides in the UK each year could be work-related. With businesses still relying on reactive approaches to mental health, change is urgently needed.
In this replay, Kayleigh Atkinson (Safeguarding Lead & Senior Manager, Training & Development, Everymind at Work) and Milly Dexter (Trainee Counselling Psychologist, Everymind at Work) cover why suicide prevention is a safeguarding issue and what that means, what to look out for: the signs, risk factors, and spectrum of suicidal thoughts in the workplace and how to embed practical, preventative strategies through training and colleague-based support.
This session is designed for everyone in the workplace.
