Therefore, the provide pillar aims to improve individual employee reactions to stress by educating them on effective ways to manage and respond to stressors. Interventions may include stress management training or implementing a coaching and/or mentoring scheme. This stage is both preventative and reactive to your employees’ needs.

    Provide employees with training in a variety of stress management techniques.
    By giving them the tools they need to take control of their own wellbeing, you are likely to see a decrease in employee stress and absence.

    Consider implementing a coaching and/or mentoring scheme within your organisation.
    Both practices can have significant benefits to both the employee and employer by developing employee skills, knowledge and attributes. Coaching and mentoring also help to build relationships within the business, as well as increase morale and motivation.

    Educate employees on mental health and wellbeing topics.
    The better your employees understand their mental health and wellbeing, the better they can look after it. Topics such as finances, nutrition and sleep are great places to start.
